Osibisa one of the greatest bands to have ever come from africa, with a mix of a new and old memebers like the talented Paulina Oduro, the genius Kwame Yeboah, the finest ace high life artist, Bessa Simmons, the good old Sol amarfio and other great arts, including the great teddy osei for a little over an hour dished out some of their world chart topping hits.
Osibisa formed in London in the 1960s with four ghanaians and other carribean members made up of founder, Teddy Osei, his bother who passed away just recently, the late Mac Tontoh, Kari Bannerman, Colin Graham and others who have also sadly passed on over the years last saturday did a re launch of the one of their singles ‘happy children’ to help raise funds for the Dream Child Foundation which was formed a year ago.

With the arena full to capacity, the group with Teddy Osei as lead singer sang tunes from their old albums like Woyaya, fire will burn you, celebration, sunshine day, dance the body music as the crowd sang along to every song.
Osei, who led the group for over an hour singing back to back, got the atmosphere charged when he brought the signature tune, ‘we are going home’ as a prayer song to end the show, will not be let go by the crowd who kept asking more songs.
Apparently, tired, the simigwa man, Gyedu blay Ambolley took the baton from old Teddy as the crowd touched, sadly dispersed to their various homes.
The Happy Children album will have 12-tracks on it including a remix of Happy Children, Fire Will Burn You and a host of others.
